How to Create a Bucket List

A bucket list is a list of things you haven’t done before, but want to do before you die.

Creating a bucket list can help you visually see what you want to do. You may not accomplish everything on your list, but creating a list will give you a chance to determine what you value, and find important.

Create
Write a list of everything you want to do in life. This can include (but not limited to) your dreams, goals, ambitions, vacations, career, hobbies, health, relationships - write down everything that comes to mind. It can include things as simple as trying a new restaurant, or joining the space program. There’s no limit to what you can put on this list. It’s your list, anything you want, goes on it.

Organize
Group similar items on the list into categories. There is no wrong way of doing this. Categories could be career goals, self-improvement, places you want to visit, skills you want to learn, or relationships you want to mend. The items on your list will determine your specific categories.

Prioritize
Start by asking yourself; What is most important to me? What do I value? Then take items you value the most and transfer them onto a seperate to-do list. Depending on what you choose, some items may need minutes, months, or even multiple years to complete.

Creating a bucket-list helps you focus on what you want, what you value, and what you find to be most important. You can start today with pen and paper, your computer, or your smart phone.
